MMO Simulator 1.2 is out!!!!!

This one has an awful lot to go over, so I'm not gonna waste time!

Major Features:

  • Quest Window!
    This is one of the smaller "major" updates. This window can be used to track your progress in the special, secret quests that are currently in the game. If you haven't started a quest yet, you can find some helpful info on how to start them here! This feature is more of a setup for a future update, when more quests will be added.
  • Notification System!
    A notification system has been added to alert you to special events, such as Pets, Titles, Trophies, and Tools. This can be helpful if your Loot Log is moving too fast to read. The Notification will appear at the bottom of the screen. In the Settings window you can customize which notifications you would like to receive!
  • Added Ascension Cutscene!
    For too long, Ascending has been a bit of an anti-climax. Those days are over! Those of you who appease the Crucible will be rewarded with a cutscene which can be skipped.
  • Loot Log Filtering!
    In the settings window you can now find toggles to show/hide certain events from your Loot Log. At this stage, there are still a few Loot Log events that are not provided, but they will be added in a future update. As with notifications, you can customize this to your hearts' content.
  • Favourite Pets!
    In the Pet window you can now find the Favourites button, which will take you to the Favourite Pets screen. In this screen you can set up to 5 pets as Favourites, and they will all be put on the same page in the Favourites section of the Pet Window, helpful for those of you that switch between a few pets often, and are sick of scrolling through pages of pets to do it.

Minor Features:

  • Random Events will now automatically choose a random option when they expire. A bar shows how long until the Random Event expires, and text tells you which choice will be automatically made.
  • Random Events now expire after 30 seconds (down from 2 minutes).
  • Added 2 new titles The Doglover(Corgi) and The Doglover(Wolf). Neither title is required to complete the game, but both are obtained from a new easter egg.
  • Most pets now have a sprite to go along with them. The 4 that do not yet have sprites are Bunny, Penguin, Squirrel, and Dragon. These pets are represented by the Timberwolf sprite for the time being (They should be added in next weeks update).
  • Added a pet and mount sprite to the main screen. These will show you which Mount and Pet you have activated. Clicking on these sprites will take you to the respective window. The "Active Pet" and "Active Mount" text has been removed from the main screen.
  • Clicking the Grind Bar at the top of the screen will now take you to the Map Screen if you aren't in a Dungeon, and will take you to the Dungeon Screen if you are in a Dungeon.
  • Added a new sound for the Crucible.
  • Scrapped the planned "Online Raids" feature, in favour of the Quests.
  • Added the ability to toggle The Wheel between "Holiday mode" and "Regular Mode", allowing those of you who still need the Pet or Title from the regular wheel to have a spin even if a holiday event is happening.
  • Added the ability to disable The Wheel's spinning animation and get straight to the rewards!
  • Added the ability to toggle holiday event visuals (background effect and particles).

Tweaks:

  • Continued improvement of the Leaderboard.
  • Renamed Flaming gear to Shrouded
  • Bane Beetle has been buffed (Double chance, up from +50%)
  • The number of sigils that bosses will show during a fight has been tweaked. The new maximum number of sigils is 6 (down from 7).
  • Omen Shards have been made significantly more common.
  • Removed the "Log" button that was used to expand and minimize the Loot Log. Now you can simply tap/click on the Loot Log.
  • Hid Pedro ;)
  • Removed the Steed Icons from the main screen that used to show quest info.


Bug Fixes:

  • When loading an out-of-date version of the game, a link to the download page will now correctly display.
  • Stockpiles should now cost the appropriate amount of resources. (Unfortunately, for existing accounts, you must ascend for this to take effect.)
  • Bane Beetle will no longer de-activate when you are booted from a dungeon.
  • Made the Loot Log less painful to scroll.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Toad to always apply his bonus Charm chance. This bug has been in the game for a long time and I never noticed. To offset this, Toad has received a buff to keep him relevant.
  • You can no longer cheese the wheel by reloading the game before it saves.

I'm hesitant to continue adding the In the next update section to the Devlog, because I have a habit of changing my mind afterwards, but here are a few things that are guaranteed to be in the next update:

  • Finish Loot Filtering
  • A handful of new Random Events
  • No doubt many bug fixes
