I've been really enjoying this game, I'm currently just doing a few things to prepare for my first "Big End Game Step" (Trying not to spoil), and I've been playing this a lot in the background while I'm at work. I have just noticed that there hasn't been any updates on it for a few months, and that's totally fine I totally understand game development takes time, I'm just curious if there is any news! I also wasn't sure if there has been more talk in the discord, which I am unfortunately not in yet.
I'm so glad you're enjoying it, that's the biggest thing.
You are right, updates have essentially stopped. Unfortunately, life has gotten the better of me, and while I love the game, and a lot of people love the game (I still monitor the server, and we still have a decent amount of daily players!) it simply doesn't pay the bills. To add onto that, MMO Sim was one of my first attempts at putting a game out, it was extremely ambitious as a first major project, and I've learned a lot since then. A lot of the code and the structures that MMO Sim are built on are very difficult to work with, and it makes things even slower.
I'll never say never as far as continuing to work on MMO Sim, but for now, I have to keep a roof over my head, and just don't have the time that I used to have. At this stage, an update is planned for sometime in the near future to fix some bugs that have been reported in the Discord, but I can't commit to any timeframe on any other updates :(
Thanks so much for your response! I completely understand that you have real life responsibilities to focus on and manage. It is sad to hear that your excellent work and passion for this project didn't pay the bills, but I can totally sympathize with the struggle of "being too ambitious for a first project."
I'm glad to hear that it's not officially cancelled, you can always pick up the torch for it in the future, should you find the time and energy! However, I completely understand the need to focus on other projects, or just with taking care of real life responsibilities. I will absolutely be keeping an eye out for future projects from you, as I was really impressed with this! Seriously, don't be discouraged, and know that, even if it takes time, you managed to create a quality project that I and many others were able to enjoy, and that's a LOT more than many people can say!
I look forward to seeing whatever comes next from you, should you find the time to either further expand on this project, or begin a brand new one!
It's been a fun time-killer at work, and not terribly unfair to your time! I hope you either continue work when able, or use what you learned to make another game similar to this. Best wishes to you, and good luck either way~
Been struggling to get the blue shards, so I am wondering what I'm doing wrong. I assume I just need to defeat bosses, but I've defeated several and I'm currently stuck at just two. Do I need to defeat the boss while I'm currently in their corresponding biome? Do stronger bosses have greater chance to drop blue? I'm trying not to spoil things and be as vague as possible but I'm just very confused on what I'm doing wrong.
As I prepare to conquer the final obstacle (Trying not to spoil anything), I know that I will lose many of my earthly possessions, but I was wondering what will I still have once its over? Will I still have my steeds and trophies? What about my pets or my titles? Just curious so I can know what I'll lose.
It will warn you before you commit to it, and tell you specifically what you'll keep. I can tell you that everything you mentioned will remain, though.
yeah they're a chance. Not too rare, and you don't need many. I don't remember the exact number off the top of my head, but I think its either 10, or less than 10.
I can't be sure without looking at your account, but if you're looking to get the 100% completion ending, you'd need to make sure all of the completion bars in the profile window are full. So that includes things like horses, pets, titles etc.

Why the login broken and auto generator profile missing my profile?
Login seems to work fine for me, what's your username?

Sorry it took me a while to respond to this. Thanks so much, that means a lot! Keep an eye out, because I'm not done putting stuff out yet :)

Just keep at it with the bosses... Just takes time.
So the specific boss doesn't matter, and it doesn't matter if I'm in the same biome or anything like that? Just wanting to double check.
Correct on both counts. Neither of those things matter :)
How does one go about gaining the bones titles / pet??
you have a chance to get the corresponding pet/titles when you bust/jackpot while playing bones
As I prepare to conquer the final obstacle (Trying not to spoil anything), I know that I will lose many of my earthly possessions, but I was wondering what will I still have once its over?

Are the shards for blue on a percentage potential to show? And without giving spoilers how many shards are needed?

BRO i landed on pet on the wheel but it slid back on gold ima die bro😭😭😔

I have all the horses aside from the green one, is it just find pets or am I reading it wrong?

I am struggling on finding the start to the celestial steed quest. Would one of you find internets people please send me some targeted guidance.
ngl, i have no idea how i got it just grind bosses until you get it ig
i got it randomly after logging in after like 9 hours tho lol
I got you, boo!
The Celestial quest has a small chance to start whenever you open the game after being gone for a short while (5 minutes is the minimum, I believe)
Thank you kindly! Looks like I will be setting some timers. Let the grind begin!
